The beautiful town of Rye is in the East Sussex countryside, on the coast of the south east of England.

An Ancient town and a Cinque Port, the citadel town of Rye sits on a hill on the river Rother looking out across the Romeny Marsh to the nearby coast.  It is a beautifully and uniquely preserved medieval, tudor and georgian town with an old world charm.  Famous cobbled street scenes and stunning architecture make a perfect backdrop to a fantastic British holiday.

The town boasts dozens of excellent resaurants and pubs, a medieval castle, musuems, beautiful churches, art galleries, antique shops, great shops for hours of browsing, local produce from the surrounding area and fresh fish from the harbour.  The immediate surrounding area has beautiful country, river, canal and coastal walks and cycle rides.

Two stunning beaches are in easy reach of the town - the outstanding 4 miles of sandy beach and sand dunes at Camber Sands and the beautiful pebble beach and nature reserve at Winchelsea.

Further afield are the many tourist attractions, zoos, steam railways and pretty market towns and villages to explore - Hastings, Battle, Bexhill, Winchelsea, Tenterden, Cranbrook to name but a few.
