Approaching from the East : Enter Rye on the A259 over a bridge over the River Rother. At the mini roundabout turn left, signposted Hastings. At next roundabout in front of Kettle of Fish chip shop, turn right, signposted Town Centre, Battle A268. Follow road round to the left. Get in right hand lane and bear right, signposted town centre. Get in left hand lane (station to your left). Bear left signposted town centre. At mini roundabout, turn left into Rope Walk. Number 8 is immediately on your left.
Approaching from the West: Enter Rye on the A259 from Hastings. Pass a garage on the right, then onto a mini roundabout with the Kettle of Fish chip shop on your left - turn left at this roundabout, signposted Town Centre, Battle A268. Follow road round to the left. Get in right hand lane and bear right, signposted town centre. Get in left hand lane (station to your left) Bear left signposted Town centre. At mini roundabout turn left into Rope Walk. Number 8 is immediately on your left.
Approaching from the North: Enter Rye going downhill on the A268. At the first mini-roundabout, go straight on, signposted Hastings. At next mini roundabout in front of Kettle of Fish chip shop, turn right, signposted Town Centre, Battle A268. Follow road round to the left. Get in right hand lane and bear right, signposted town centre. Get in left hand lane (station to your left). Bear left signposted town centre. At mini roundabout, turn left into Rope Walk. Number 8 is immediately on your left.
Parking: Parking outside the cottage is allowed between 6pm and 8am Monday to Saturuday, and all day Sunday. Parking on the other side of the road is available for 8am hour at any one time, and all of Saturday afternoon and Sunday. You can park for one pound a day in the very large cattle market car park which is 30 yards up the road on the left.
From the Train Station (3 minute walk): Turn left out of the station, passed the Fat Controller Cafe and into the station car park. Psss through the station carpark and exit onto Rope Walk. Number 8 is 100 yards along on the right.
